121 Bank Street, East Victoria Park – Project Update January 2018
We are pleased to report that after adopting all of the Town of Victoria Park’s requested plan amendments the development application was finally approved on 20th December.
Once the DA was approved we were able to give the demolition contractor the go ahead to begin demolishing the 4 houses which were located on the site. Demolition commenced mid-January and is scheduled to take approximately 4 weeks to complete.
The first stage in the demolition process is to strip out any fixtures and fittings from the properties which can be resold. Once that is completed, all asbestos is removed and disposed of. Only then does the heavy machinery move in to remove the remaining house structure, fences, driveways and trees.
Upon the site being completely cleared, the marketing campaign will be launched. I will provide more information regarding the launch in next month’s update.
