Elysian – 385 Rokeby Road, Subiaco – April 2023
With another month of fine weather, good progress has continued throughout April. During the month the following was achieved:
- All of the columns within basement level 2 were formed and poured.
- The majority of the eastern ground floor slab of basement level 2 was also formed and poured.
- The south-western portion of the basement level 1’s suspended slab was formed and poured and work is well underway with forming up the remaining western suspended slab. This is the ramped section you can see in the photos.
- 60% of basement level 2’s piles were shotcreted (ie shotcrete is concrete which is sprayed onto the piles which make up the walls of the basement to give the walls a smooth concrete finish).
- Construction continued on both lift shafts.
The focus during May will be to finalise the forming and then pouring of the western suspended slab of basement level 1. Then move to forming up the eastern suspended slab of basement level 1 and also the columns that will support the ground floor suspended slab.
