Elysian – August Project Update

August was very similar to July, with the ongoing shortage of finishing trades and persistent rainfall continuing to present challenges for the builder. Despite these obstacles, the builder has done their best to keep the construction program on track. However, there has been a slight slip in the timeline, and we now anticipate that buyers should be able to move in around late November.

On a positive note, good progress has been made in several areas:

  • External: The scaffold has been completely dropped on the front facade and is continuing to be removed from the other facades. This marks a visible milestone in the project’s progression and it’s rewarding to see the front façade in all its glory. Application of the polished plaster to the building’s façade continues when the weather permits.

  • Ground Floor: Work continues on both lobbies, with the Rokeby Rd lobby showing the most progress. The walls and ceiling in this lobby have had the polished plaster applied, giving a clear indication of the final aesthetic.
  • Levels 1 & 2: The apartments on these levels are now effectively completed.  They have all had their first clean and the builder has completed their defecting process.  Any defects which are identified are being rectified by the builder.  After the apartments have had any defects rectified, Celsius is then undertaking its own defecting process.  Any defects identified by Celsius will also be rectified by the builder and then the apartments will have their final clean and the doors will be locked until the owners come to undertake their pre-settlement inspection.

  • Level 3: All apartments have had their floorboards laid and the appliances have been delivered and are waiting installation.  The plumbers and electricians have made progress on fitting-off but some items still remain. The balcony tiles are being laid in the last few remaining apartments.

  • Level 4: All of the cabinetry has been installed and the laying of the floorboards has commenced.  All of the wet area tiling has been completed.

  • Level 5: The majority of the cabinetry has been installed. All of the wet area tiling has been completed. The communal area has had all of the timber cladding hung and the planter boxes rendered.

We appreciate the buyers’ disappointment in the slipping construction program but I can assure you we are doing everything we can to ensure the apartments are delivered as soon as possible without compromising on the quality.

I look forward to updating you next month, but should you have any queries or would like to enquire about one of the unsold apartments please feel free to contact me on (08) 6144 0700 or 0451 533 440.
