Elysian: May’s Project Update

Progress continued at a steady pace throughout May.  The current wet weather we are experiencing is impacting external works but at this point in time none of those items are on the critical path.  Internally, works are not impacted by the wet weather as the building is currently fully water tight.

 

The following was achieved during the month:

  • Level 1 – The electrical appliances have been delivered and are currently being installed into the kitchens.  The electricians have commenced fitting of the lights, switches and power points.  The cabinetry for the entire floor has now been installed into all of the kitchens, living/dining, bedrooms and wet areas.  The stone benchtops for all of the kitchens has also been installed.
  • Level 2 – All of the wet areas have been tiled and the majority of their cabinets and benchtops installed as well.  The remaining cabinetry for the bedrooms and the living/dining rooms has been delivered and is currently being installed. Installation of the electrical appliances in the kitchens has commenced. The balconies are currently being tiled.
  • Level 3 – All wet areas have been waterproofed and the majority of the wet areas have been completely tiled.  The internal doors are now being hung.
  • Level 4 – All plasterboard has been flushed and the first coat of paint applied.  Waterproofing of all of the wet areas has been completed and tested, which has allowed tiling of those wet areas to commence.
  • Level 5 – The residents’ communal alfresco area is starting to take shape with most of the planter boxes constructed, the steel frame for the retractable awing erected and the dining room framed.   In the apartments the walls have been closed up.  All windows and sliding doors have been installed.  The services continue to be installed and the glass balustrade installation has commenced.
  • Externally – The external rendering of the building continues.  With all roof works completed the roof level of scaffold has been dropped.
