The Fitz, North Perth – Project Update June 2016
During the month of June all of the dishwashers, ovens, cooktops and rangehoods were installed. The dryers were delivered to site and will be installed next week. The painters continued to put their final coats to all of the apartments and should be completed in the next two weeks. The cleaners have also started to move through the apartments preparing them for carpets to be laid. Externally all of the fire hydrants, water meters and gas meters were connected and the renderers continued to put the finishing touches to the building’s facade.
During July the focus internally will be on laying the carpet in all of the apartments. The carpet installers will start next week in the front apartments (ie 1 to 14 and 23 to 29) and make their way around to the rear apartments (ie apartments 15 to 22 and 30 to 37). Once the carpet is laid the apartments will be completed. The builder will then spend the last month before practical completion rectifying any defects that they find.
Externally the final sections of painting will be completed and the remaining driveway paved. Preparations for the landscaping to be planted will also start to take place.
The builder is still advising us that they remain on schedule to complete construction by late August with settlements to occur 6 to 8 weeks later.
