125 Bank Street – Project Update January 2022
Unfortunately, the issues with the roof carpenters continued through December and the majority of January. Despite the carpenters commencing on 29 November they only attended the site for 2 days before stopping work completely.
As with all trades right now, they were experiencing staff shortages and they had also overcommitted to completing too many projects at once. Then on top of this, the Covid-19 vaccination rules commenced at the start of the year which resulted in them losing even more staff as several of their staff were not yet vaccinated or are refusing to get vaccinated.
However, on a more positive note, they recommenced on-site on 24 January with a full team and they have been there ever since. The builder’s focus for February will be for the roof carpenters to frame up as many of the villas as possible and for those roofs to then be sheeted.
Due to the issues with the roof carpenters the builder’s program has slipped even further with them now aiming for practical completion towards early June.
