Park Terraces – April Update 2021
The focus of the builder for April was to form up and pour the first-floor slab for terraces 1 to 6, which was achieved. They also made progress on the brickwork for terraces 11, 12 and the bin store which had to be left to last to allow the builder a laydown area during the initial stages of construction.
The builder’s focus for May will be to form up and pour the remainder of the first-floor slab (i.e., for terraces 7 to 12). They are aiming to have this poured around the middle of May.
The first-floor slab of terraces 1 to 6 will be stripped in the coming days and the props removed. This will then allow construction to commence on the internal timber frame walls and the plumber and electrician will commence chasing the walls in preparation for laying their services.
Unfortunately, the labour shortage continues and as a result the builder is approximately 10 weeks behind the original construction schedule, with construction now due to be completed in February 2022.
On a more positive note, the development is now fully sold with the final terrace recently going under contract.
