Southlink – Project Update July 2017
During July Stage 1 continued to see more tenants move into their premises, with Autobahn having completed their fitout and their grand opening planned for 24 July. Smoke & Grill’s fitout is 90% complete and they are on track for an early August opening date. Pizzacraft and the Cheesecake Shop will commence their fitout’s in August.
Unfortunately, there has been very little progress over the last month in regards to Stage 2 and its revised development application. The revised development application is ready for submission but it cannot be submitted until Main Roads has approved the plans for the upgrades that Main Roads requires to the crossover from Armadale and the footpath along Armadale Rd. Main Roads have had the plans for 4 months now and still no approval has been granted. However, Main Roads have indicated to us that we should receive the approvals in August, some 5 months after they were originally submitted.
As soon as the crossover and footpath are approved by Main Roads, Stage 2’s revised development application will be submitted. As soon as that application is approved construction will commence, which we are still hopeful will be in the final quarter of this year.
