Vic Quarter – Project Update August 2019
There has been a lot of activity on site at Vic Quarter as the building enters the final stage of construction.
While good progress is being made internally, the wet weather has unfortunately still hampered external works.
One of the main architectural elements of the building is the feature concrete framing on the buildings facade.
These beams and columns are rendered with a five coat system to create a more refined concrete look, however applying this system in wet weather is not possible.
While the weather has delayed the dropping of scaffold around the site, significant elements of the building have now been revealed and from the street view we are now getting a clearer picture of how the building will look.
The pool deck has also been progressing with the conform deck currently being installed in preparation for the concrete pour to the pool deck.
The landscaping contractor is also now on site and commenced filling the planter boxes that feature on the balconies throughout the building.
Internally good progress has been made with all paintwork now complete to all but the penthouse level.
The painters have been working their way up the building to rectify any defects that have been identified and we expect the first four levels to be fully complete and locked up in the next week.
On the penthouse level, flooring has now been completed and the electrical and plumbing fit-offs are nearing completion.
The common passageways are now fully carpeted and the feature LED strip lighting has been installed in the ceiling recess. The feature render to the lobby and elevator landings has also commenced.
As we are nearing completion we have begun the VQIP marketing campaign which allows registered buyers the first opportunity to reserve an apartment prior to the public launch.
VQIPs will also be given a private viewing of the building before it is made available to the public.
