Vic Quarter – Project Update June 2019
Although external works have been hampered by the very wet weather experienced in June, PACT have continued to make excellent progress on the apartment internals.
All apartments on levels one and two are now complete with just the balcony balustrades to be installed.
Level three apartments now have 90% of the carpet laid and level four apartments are receiving their final internal paint coat.
On level five all kitchen cabinets and stone benchtops have been installed and work is now commencing on the wet area cabinets.
On the Penthouse level, internal walls are complete and the cabinet maker has commenced work on the kitchen cabinets.
Unfortunately the consistent wet weather has hampered progress with the external finishes.
The feature concrete-look framing of the building has a five coat render system and as such requires extended periods without rain to allow a good flow of work.
We have managed to complete the fifth floor and the scaffold on the building is now beginning to drop, but this element is likely to push the buildings completion back into the first half of September.
The wet weather is also hampering waterproofing of the pool deck, however good progress has been made with the structural elements in the pool deck including the cabana and BBQ area.
Internally the builder has been testing the electrical installation for the first two floors.
We have been very pleased to see the quality of the finished apartments with full light and power.
We look forward to updating you next month as the upper floors move to completion and the scaffold continues to drop externally unveiling Vic Park’s new landmark building!
