Vic Quarter – Project Update May 2019
Excellent progress is being made on site at Vic Quarter as we enjoy a good run of dry weather in Perth.
The ground floor units are now almost complete with all carpet now laid.
The bathroom and kitchens have had their plumbing fit-offs completed and the electrical installations are also complete, including the video intercom systems in each apartment.
Kitchen cabinets are now being installed on level five with all lower floors being complete and the stone benchtops have been installed to half of level four.
The penthouse level roof is now installed. Walls to the penthouse level have been framed, the ceiling grid has been installed and the air conditioning duct-work is currently going in.
Externally the builder will commence dropping the formwork next month which will start to reveal the building’s exterior.
The main framing element of the building consists of a series of concrete columns and beams.
To achieve a more uniform finish these beams and columns have a concrete look render applied which should provide a striking feature to the façade.
Installation of the building’s 80kW solar array will commence next week. This solar system will feed directly into the building’s common power to help maintain lower strata fees for the owners.
We look forward to updating you next month as we get closer to completion.
